Plerogyra Bubble Coral Frag
$99.00
Plerogyra, commonly known as Bubble Coral, is a real eye-catcher with its large, inflated bubbles that gently sway in the current.
LIGHTING
Moderate lighting works best. They generally don't enjoy being placed directly under intense lighting.
FLOW
Low to moderate flow is ideal. Too much water movement can stop the bubbles from fully inflating and may irritate the coral.
FEEDING
While Bubble Corals get most of their energy from light, they'll happily accept occasional feedings of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp or reef-specific coral foods.
PLACEMENT
Give them plenty of room. Their delicate bubble tissue can be easily damaged by sharp rocks or nearby corals, and they can extend sweeper tentacles at night.
WATER QUALITY
Like most LPS corals, they thrive in stable water conditions with consistent salinity, temperature, alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium levels.
TANK MATES
Keep a little distance between your Bubble Coral and neighbouring corals to avoid stinging encounters after lights out.
Bubble Corals are relatively easy to care for and make a fantastic addition to a reef tank, especially when given a calm spot where they can fully expand and show off their unique appearance.
