LIGHTING
Low to moderate lighting is usually best. Blastos can lose colour or become stressed if placed under very intense lighting.

FLOW
Low to moderate water flow is ideal. Gentle movement helps keep them clean without causing the polyps to stay closed.

FEEDING
Although they get most of their energy from light, Blastos appreciate occasional feedings of coral foods, mysis shrimp, or other small meaty foods.

PLACEMENT
They do well on the sand bed or in lower to middle areas of the rockwork where they can expand comfortably.

WATER QUALITY
Stable water parameters are key. Consistent alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, and temperature will help keep them healthy and growing.

TANK MATES
Blastomussa are generally peaceful, but it's still a good idea to give them a little space from neighbouring corals to avoid any nighttime stinging contests.
